This is an excellent condition copy of the U.K. magazine Sounds, from March 7, 1987. This issue included the free 7" picture sleeve 4-track e.p. "Showcase 2." "All tracks exclusive to Sounds." Record is in near-mint condition, barely, if ever played, and has been kept in a protective plastic sleeve since purchase (I am original owner/buyer).

Record tracks:
1. Shop Assistants "Train from Kansas City (new version)."
2. The Woodentops "Love Train Live." Live in Los Angeles November, 1986.
B side:
3. The Mighty Lemondrops "Hear Me Call."
4. The Icicle Works "Don't Let It Rain on My Parade." As stated on the sleeve: "A brand-new track from the Icicle Works only otherwise available on the cassette or cd version of the recently released album If You Want To Defeat Your Enemy, Sing His Song."

Record has "Not for Sale" on the labels and plays at 33 1/3 rpm. Sounds Showcase SHOW 2 (1987)

The magazine is 48 pages and is in vg shape, measuring 12" x 17". Magazine cover has a rather small tear (small missing piece) in the middle near the spine of the magazine where the record was attached with tape. This tear is just above the "L" in the words "Level 42". As shown in the scan. Otherwise, magazine is in vg, well-preserved condition with no folds, bends or stains. The magazine includes the following articles/features:

1. Cover: features the Cult, and Level 42.
2. Full page ad/tour dates for Gary Moore's Wild Frontier album (and U.K. tour).
3. Full page ad for Genesis' Tonite, Tonite, Tonite 7" and 12" release.
4. 2-page article and pics of Dave Balfe (Tear Drop Explodes).
5. 2-page article and pics of The Soup Dragons.
6. 1-page article and pic on The Mighty Lemondrops.
7. 2-page article and pic on Mark King / Level 42.
8. Full page ad for Deep Purple's Call of the Wild single.
9. 1-page article and pic on U2 and "Their Back Catalog."
10. 1-page article and pic on Anthrax.

Magazine also has many other features, record and concert reviews, and bits on Julian Cope, Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, Cyndi Lauper, Meatloaf, plus more.
