How To Check Movie Quality or Pass From 1 Rar File You Need to Download The First Rar File (Rar #1) If you already have the other files downloaded you need to put this in a seperate folder or by itself somewhere. Right click on Rar, Click on Extract Files, In New window on bottom left click on Keep broken Files, Click OK Rar should open If Pass is required enter password, File should download If it doesn't & Gives Warning Your Pass is not working. To Check Quality Right click on Video & Click on Open With Media Player Classic. This will play that portion of movie & you can see the quality and what your about to download. Your Choice From there wether to complete download or Not! hello, somewhat shorter question (this time): (Recode of TS_ files on hard drive versus other files and methods) I've started to do this. I generally extract some files from an .rar archive, which then gives me usually an .avi file. This I am now converting with divxtodvd program to make my TS folder, etc, and dvd files that can be readily used, I imagine, by all the NERO stuff, ie showtime, vision, express....(?) . Lastly I have followed your guide here to recode and burn TO FIT. I do kinda like the way this woking so far, though I guess I lose the option of manipulating or creating on screen menu's, etc....if they aren't included in the ts folder. I'm not sure of that last statement, but that's what i'm thinking --- (?). before, I would just select the same .avi's , etc... in Nero Vision and go that way. Most of what I've done has been this way. is there a diff? a preference? something i'm doing wrong, Is there really a desire to convert from an extracted .avi file to a ts dvd type file before going into burn processor, or is it fine either way ? SHOULD I cease and desist from one for the other? only thing I noticed is that in VISION I can select custom and adjust the frames per kilobyte thingy in the preferences, thus filling up the dvd nearly completely by honing in on the right frames per kilobyte number. I end up using 4.36 or 4.37 generally of my space. all seems ok on that. the disc I'm trying to do tonight is two parts, etc, and i'm wanting to fit on 1. It's long but not overlong. maybe 2:30 or so, but interestingly (to me) when I saw the compression value number you mentioned, both parts of my project were shown to be 100% I'm assuming that must be good, and that it was a real easy one to compress due to the slight, not extreme, overlength (past 120m) ? however, on RECODE, it seemed to auto adjust this for my overlong movie and fell somewhat short of filling the disc even though it really prolly oughta shoulda. you know? it was like 3.75 gig with space left. Not that that means or adds any weight to what you may know about what the differences or not are between the methods. thanks, SUPERLY -chaz p.s. noticed/tip: When I use NERO VISION and go for an .nrg IMAGE FILE located in Nero folder, It doesn't come up in the file selection window of "supported files". In this case though, selecting ALL FILES from the drop, did bring it up to select and it did load up to use in Vision. Jus' sayin' am i doing right? which method might be best? SHOULD I ONLY USE THIS RECODE PROCESS FOR QUALITY'S SAKE WHEN I'M DEALING WITH OVERLONG MOVIE OR VIDEO? IF SO, HOW LONG IS OVERLONG? OTHERWISE, FOR NORMAL LENGHT STUFF OR SOMEWHAT OVER, IS USING NERO VISION EQUAL, OR BETTER? Does it matter if my files for final burn are .avi type or converted to ts_video type from .avi? does converting hurt ? should i preferbly use vision or express for burning image files? didn't work on main DVD PLAYER, worked on pc, avi to recode to burn to disc from there. RECODE BURN DID NOT WORK " avi to recode to burn to disc image to burn in express NERO EXPRESS DID NOT WORK " works to take recoded image file MADE IN RECODE and burn in VISION VISION BURN WORKS TENACIOUS D ORIGINAL FILES RAN THRU DIVXTODVD TO MAKE TS_VIDEO FOLDER USED NERO RECODE TO MAKE TO FIT - did not work errors wrong file name, at first, did some other thing, files accepted.... AND burned cd...not work in living room. USED NERO RECODE TO MAKE TO FIT BURNED TO IMAGE FILE. BURN IN EXPRESS did not work in living room Image file does not load up in VISION used video_ts folder to start in vision below BURN IN VISION worked, burn in vision to image file and burn in express worked disc 1 tenacious ....... ts files to vision to burn disc 2 tenacious ........ ts files to vision to image to burn any sense at all to take .avi convert through divxtodvd to make TS_video dvd files, make image file in RECODE, then add the image file made to vision to transcode it through it's process with the end result of burning a dvd or saving (again) as an image burn that you'd have burn using NERO Express, etc. JUST TO MAKE IT PLAYABLE ON CERTAIN PLAYERS. do ts files made to image burn in vision work with express to burn, when movie files from .rar made to image burn in vision don't work with express, but do with vision. got spiderman 3, nero vision to disc image. nero express burn.............. = didn't play in living room spiderman 3 nero vision to disc image burn in vision as disc image = works files imported to nero vision are mpeg .mpg CONVERTXTODVD: .MKV FILES RUN THROUGH THIS, WORK WHEN BURNED IN CONVERT OR IN VISION. IN VISION, SAVED PROJECT FOR CARS WAS READY, BROUGHT UP, THEN SELECT CARS FROM CONVERT FOLDER. FAST CODE AND THEN BURN. WORKED WELL. VIDEO_TS CONTENTS, FIRST FILE IS FROM CONVERTX AND CAN BE DELETED. files made to video_ts, etc thru convert may go direct to nero vision project to burn, without transcoding. video_ts made in divxto dvd can not. mr brooks(.rar to .avi) : used convertx, then nero vision videotodvd, rapid encoding, burned failed = out of sync (files still put in original two parts from video_ts) used convertx, then nero saved project, rapidly encodes during burn process =out of sync didn't work (files in one part from video_ts) using nero project, disabling smart encode, no adjust to frames per K, but auto fit fills disc, preview plays fine, transcodes as new, burn worked pusuit of happyness: .mkv method above didn't work, played but slightly out of sync. will do long transcode, worked the number 23: .avi file, straight to vision, fitted to disc, full transcode, burned fine cars (re-do): .mkv cars was slightly out of sync. redo: ran .mkv through convertx burned in covertx = all fine. making 2nd disc in convertx as well. shark boy & lava girl : .avi file, straight to vision, fitted to disc, full transcode, burned...... wild hogs .mkv file ran through convertx, burned convertx.......stammer picture on ps2. ran through convertx, burned on nero vision fast encode = fine
